A Heavenly Road Trip to Address Beach Resort Fujairah with Maserati

If you are trying to get out of the city for a proper staycation, you really can’t beat the location of Address Beach Resort Fujairah. Only a two-hour drive – more on that in a minute – from Dubai, Fujairah does feel like a holiday destination. First of all, the view of the mountains is always welcome. Turn 180 degrees, and you have before you the endless Gulf of Oman – which is part of the Indian Ocean – stretching out before you. The only thing better than being able to enjoy both majestic mountains and soothing seas at the same time is being able to dip your head below the surface and explore a whole new world underwater. 

If you are into diving or snorkeling, Fujairah is known for being the best place to go in the UAE. A multitude of treasures are waiting to be discovered. If you prefer to do your exploring above ground, well then, hiking trails are at your fingertips… or rather, at your feet. Hike your way to the crystal-clear wadis, scale to the top and take in the bigger picture, and above all, enjoy the plethora of outdoor activities available to you. Or sit on the beach and read from sunrise to sunset while sipping on some watermelon juice. We don’t judge because we did it all. 

To really experience the luxury life, however, we highly recommend you go all out and turn your road trip through the winding roads of the mountains into one of the best parts of your journey. We buckled up into a Maserati ‘Levante’ – perfect for our family of four – and from the minute we snuggled into the red leather seats, we were in love. It’s instant respect on the road when you’re behind the wheel of a Maserati. Not only can the Levante handle the kind of speed desired by anyone who ever had Formula 1 x SUV dreams, but its comfort, class, style, and ease of driving also make it the perfect car to travel in. 

Full confession: we passed by the hotel and drove around the coast and through the mountains a few more times before turning over our car to the valet because we didn’t want it to end. We did the same thing on the way home, and turned a two-hour road trip into a six-hour joy ride along the coast, through the mountains, and into the City of Life. It was the perfect way to start our getaway with the ultimate luxury and made leaving the hotel all the more sweet because we knew we’d be dominating the road after we said goodbye.

Our first impressions of the property were generally what we feel every time we walk into the entrance of any Address Hotel. A series of divans and lounges greet you upon arrival, beckoning you to sink in and begin the process of relaxation immediately. The highest quality furnishing, elegance understated at every turn, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking an Instagram-worthy view beyond. The staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, and we were whisked away to the comfort of our rooms in record time.

We stayed in connecting rooms – one boasted a king-size bed and the other was situated with two twin beds. Each room had marble bathrooms with luxe black accents, a beckoning bathtub, and plush towels and robes, the latter perfect for lounging with a cup of coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean. The thing about Address hotelthat we love is that in its understated elegance, there are no frivolous embellishments. Everything is sophisticated and high-end, so the entire feel of your stay is one of indulgence, but never ostentatious.

When it comes to staying in Fujairah, we must be honest and say that there aren’t many five-star dining options in town. Lucky for us, The Restaurant at Address Beach Resort fulfilled all of our gastronomical expectations. The nightly buffet serves a variety of cuisines that make pleasing every member of your family easy-peasy, and the à la carte options were even better. Breakfast was always fun, with everyone able to fill up on favorite dishes like waffles and pancakes, eggs cooked any way you want, dosas, and more. The servers were friendly and always found a way to accommodate random requests. The food — it must be said again — was absolutely delicious.

As we said before, outdoor activities like hiking, snorkeling, and diving are all available within the property. Take a boat to an oyster farm, or go fishing with the chef before the sun comes up to score the freshest catch of the day that will later be on your plate. We loved playing on the beach, building sand castles, and collecting seashells, as one does on an amazing beach holiday.

The pools were also perfect. The family pool has floats, soakers, and lounges for all guests to enjoy, so the kids (and adults, who are we kidding) have a blast all day long. If you want to enjoy the infinity pool – aka the adults-only pool – the kids can be dropped off to the Kids Club where they can have the time of their lives, painting seashells they collected on the beach, going on adventure walks, and other creative activities. All of this happened while we were basking in the heavenly silence of the calm waters of the adults’ pool. Seriously, a good Kids Club can never be too underrated, as it offers parents a chance to have a moment of serenity as part of their holiday.
