Impromptu late morning and early evening coffees are a real thing in Dubai, and when the weather is this good, there’s nothing better than sitting outside. We’ve often found ourselves googling a café that not only serves amazing coffee but also boasts the best outdoor view. As usual, we went around town scouring cafes that offer the best of both. From lush green golf course views to blue ocean views, Savoir Flair takes you through six spots that are ideal for enjoying the beautiful Dubai winter.
Noor Lounge
Mandarin Oriental, Jumeira
Hands down, one of our favorite hotel coffee shops is Noor Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental, Jumeira. Not only is their coffee excellent, but their outdoor seating overlooks their beautiful swimming pool that’s lined with palm trees and also gives you a glimpse of the ocean. Their outdoor furniture features cane chairs with cute cushions and adds to the vibe. Order their date pudding on the side with your coffee, and you’ll thank us later.
Monty's
Address Montgomerie
When we think of the Address Montgomerie, we immediately think golf, and perhaps not really a spot to meet a friend for coffee. However, Monty’s at the lower level of the clubhouse is actually quite a fine place for an afternoon delight. With surreal golf course views and a water body with an old-school-style bridge, this outdoor space is at its best right before sunset.
The Farm
Al Barari
If you want to be transported out of Dubai without leaving the city, The Farm in Al Barari checks all the boxes. In a rainforest-like setting, with little streams, waterways, and bridges, this is one of the most Instagrammable places in Dubai. This spot is ideal for a tranquil morning coffee away from the hustle-bustle of city life. With birds chirping and the serene sound of flowing water, we couldn’t find a better place to unwind with a good cup of coffee. Oh, and the kaffir lime crème Brulee on the side is just the cherry on top.
Gia
If you’re in Dubai Mall, it would be a crime not to pop over to Gia for some nibbles and coffee. With the best profiteroles in town (trust us, we’ve tried many) and a view of the fountains that is unparalleled, this is one of our favorite places within the mall. We recommend going in the evening so you can catch the dancing fountains in action. Pro Tip: Order their ricotta ravioli if you’re in the mood for something savory – it does not disappoint.
Bounty Beets
Le Meridien Mena Seyahi
Although more of a restaurant than a café, Bounty Beets is highly underrated and is truly a hidden gem. The indoor seating is quirky with bright pink accents, and the pink wall with an old-school telephone on it works as the perfect photo op. The outdoor seating, which they light up with strings of oversized light bulbs, is equally pretty. Hanging lanterns from a tree and their bamboo canes screen with cozy chairs in front of it just add to its boho-chic vibe. You’ll probably spend most of your time taking photos. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! Oh, and the beach is just a stone’s throw away.
SEVA Table
Jumeirah Beach Road
A magical garden in the heart of the city? That’s a big yes from our side. SEVA Table is an earthy café that focuses on wellness, so everything here is not only delicious but also nutritious (think gluten and cane sugar-free). The rustic interior has calming mantras playing in the background, and their library is filled with more books than you can imagine. Outside, you are required to take your shoes off so you can practice grounding (an activity that reconnects you to the earth and releases positive energy). And if you’re looking for the perfect Instagram photo op, then the wooden swing won’t disappoint. Honestly, this is truly one of the most unique cafés in the city.
