Major trends receive the royal treatment for Fall/Winter 2015 at the hands of Salvatore Ferragamo’s accessories design department. The 90s-style revival brought the “ugly” platform shoe back in a big way, but Ferragamo’s versions are lovely and constructed of velvet with gold trim, while other platforms feature unique sectional stacking. In fact, there is a lot of architectural design work in the footwear portion of this collection, with cubed heels making the biggest impact on Ferragamo’s experimental styles. Beyond avant-garde footwear, there are royal-purple versions of the popular ‘Fiama’ bag, leopard-print totes, corrugated-leather crossbody bags, opulent timepieces, and more. Working with expensive materials, a rich color palette, and outside-the-box designs, Ferragamo guarantees one of the best accessories releases of the season.
