Fashion has long been an exclusionary industry – an industry of outsiders and insiders, with nothing in between. Net-a-Porter’s most recent digital venture, an invite-only app called The Net Set, seemed to propagate that idea by closing off its social shopping network to said “outsiders”. Until Now. The e-tail giant announced last night that it would be opening up to the public, granting the world access to its revolutionary product and to the shopping lists of its ‘Style Council’ members the likes of Poppy Delevingne, Alexa Chung, and Kate Bosworth. Shopaholics rejoice!
