Rabih Kayrouz launched his eponymous womenswear label, Maison Rabih Kayrouz, in 2009, and it was only a few short years later that he was being heralded as “an architect in a world of decorators” by the likes of Suzy Menkes. His career trajectory has been on the rise for the past six years and, as of this month, Kayrouz can add Moda Operandi to his list of retailers. In celebration of his first-ever trunk show on the international pre-retail website, Savoir Flair spoke to the designer about his thoughts on the collaboration and how it came about.

“We met last season and decided to collaborate,” he explains. “I love the Moda Operandi website and concept and loved having the opportunity to premiere the new collection on the site and giving it international exposure. The concept is very exclusive and is similar to actually receiving the client in a personalized salon. I would like to see this relationship grow.” As for what we can expect to find in his trunk show, Kayrouz reveals, “Moda Operandi made its own selection of pieces from my collection, which means their collection will be different than that of any other retail store.”
