This week, the Parisian runways were filled with breathtaking couture creations from the world’s most renowned designers, including Atelier Versace, Dior, Giambattista Valli, and more.

Donatella Versace surprised everyone with her ethereal, deconstructed, goddess-like collection; Raf Simons presented a new take on the New Look; Jean Paul Gaultier turned yet again to the seas for inspiration; and Valli stayed true to his brand’s feminine roots with feathers, flowers, and beautiful beading. What they each had in common, however, was their choice of footwear. Platforms, go-go boots, and flatform sandals were the biggest accessories trend in Paris – a stark contrast to the soft, feminine, and romantic ensembles presented by each designer.
