It is often the case, unfortunately, that the fun side of fashion is either sacrificed and forgotten or rendered gimmicky to the point of unwearability. Thankfully for his patrons, however, Middle Eastern designer Hasan Hejazi has made it his calling to put the fun back into fashion for the forthcoming Spring 2016 season. “With this collection, I wanted to do something new, something more fun and playful,” Hejazi tells Savoir Flair exclusively. His heart-printed skirts and heart-shaped bodices are just what the doctor ordered to fall back in love with fashion. “I ran with the theme of hearts; first the digital print I designed, which is full of multi-coloured love hearts, and then the panelling of some of the bodices, which are in a love heart shape,” he shares. With an eye for fabric sculpting, he presents silhouettes that are tremendously flattering and capable of enlivening even the dullest of black-tie affairs.
