Tommy Ton might have bid adieu to street style coverage this season, but that doesn’t mean photographers everywhere also retired their cameras. Instead, the street style scene was in full throttle this week as #NYFW kicked off at a new set of venues across the city. Although change was in the air for the Spring/Summer 2016 season, street style stars kept it business as usual and took to the pavements with their best looks. A subdued palette and touchable textures for fall saw strong representation, but the days of summer weren’t over for some, who sported lightweight striped shirtdresses and pretty floral prints. As always, clothes performed a baseline read for most looks, but it was standout accessories — like prim box clutches, fancy footwear, and oversized cuffs — that really demanded to be noticed.
