Dubai-based brand Kage has been a trustworthy go-to for stylish wardrobe staples since 2009. In its new lookbook, the brand debuts a Fall/Winter 2015 collection that places an exciting and eclectic twist on signature looks we already know and love. Filtered through the 1970s, the latest offerings are comfortable, stylish, and, most importantly, versatile, with a subdued palette of taupe, cobalt blue, sage, and black leather. The mix-and-match potential of this collection is nearly endless.
It is filled with chic options, like subtly patterned shorts with peplum layers, funnel-neck shift dresses, ponchos, and one-sleeved cocktail dresses, alongside unexpected elements, like racerback tanks with back ruffles and short jumpsuits. Designers Arwa Abdelhadi and Basma Abu Ghazaleh also experimented with the addition of leather to their designs, explaining, “It’s the first time we’ve used perforated leather. We’ve been playing around with this fabric for two to three years and it finally felt right to use it for this collection.”
