Last week, Dior exclusively unveiled its latest fine-jewelry collection ‘Rose des Vents’ on Savoir Flair. Inspired by the story of Mr. Christian Dior discovering the compass rose in his childhood home, the new jewelry designs created by Victoire de Castellane pay homage to the brand’s most sentimental beginnings.
The new collection includes bracelets and necklaces made from yellow gold and rose gold with various stones: pink opal, lapis lazuli, turquoise, and mother-of-pearl. Each piece features a diamond-encrusted medallion on one side, and a plain stone on the other.
Speaking on the historic inspiration of the designs, Creative Director de Castellane says, “A symbol of travel, in it you find echoes of Christian Dior’s star and the idea of the good-luck charm, but also the rose – his favorite flower. The whole history of the house is there, implicitly.”
