The Alexander McQueen brand has recently announced the release of a capsule collection of scarves to coincide with the unveiling of the ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ exhibition in London, which opens on March 14 at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Five scarves are included in the release, and each is printed with vivid imagery that captures the spirit of five iconic pieces from the McQueen archives. Looks from ‘The Girl in the Tree’ from Fall/Winter 2008, ‘No. 13’ from Spring/Summer 1999, ‘Plato’s Atlantis’ from Spring/Summer 2010, ‘It’s Only a Game’ from Spring/Summer 2005, and ‘Widows of Culloden’ from Fall/Winter 2006 were chosen to celebrate the work of one of the most talented and memorable designers of our time, and have been printed onto luxurious 100 percent silk scarves. Each has been reproduced only 100 times, the limited nature of the capsule collection only increasing the desirability of these exquisite pieces.
The ‘Savage Beauty’ capsule collection will be available only at the Alexander McQueen store on Old Bond Street, London or on www.AlexanderMcQueen.com, retailing at AED 1,885. For an exclusive first look at the scarves, click through the gallery.
