In this exclusive behind-the-scenes video, the making of Lanvin’s new ‘Blanche’ bridal campaign is revealed for the first time. At the turn of the 19th century, Lanvin was a beloved atelier for European brides, and Alber Elbaz sought to relaunch the bridal portion of the brand’s output in 2008. Since then, he has been presenting his irreverent twist on bridal couture, with designs so exquisite you’d be hard pressed to find anything else like them. In the video, the 2015 collection reveals languid, elongated silhouettes imbued with the attitude of the Roaring Twenties, but small, lavish details elevate the looks beyond classic bridal style. There are gorgeous sculpted gowns edged in black, bubble-hemmed frocks with feathery embellishment, and sublime lace dresses with pleated bodices.
