Not only is Dubai-based Lebanese designer Dima Ayad responsible for creating exciting womenswear collections that resonate with the modern women of the Middle East (while raking in accolades and awards from the fashion industry), but she’s also responsible for running things behind the scenes at Atlantis the Palm as the five-star hotel’s Vice President of Marketing for Restaurants, Bars, and Entertainment. It sounds nearly impossible, but Ayad balances it all and still finds the time to take Savoir Flair through a day in her incredibly busy life.

No coffee yet and off to Flywheel! Contemplating whether I should actually go while I’m on my way there. Body says no, but head says go. It never gets easier; you just get better.
Mornings at my desk with a cup of my favorite coffee: Nespresso with sugar-free vanilla Coffee Mate. Looking into what happened while I was sleeping, trend forecasts of restaurants and entertainment, and planning my upcoming trip to Paris.
Meeting with Chef Patrice is always a bad idea. He makes me try new sweets all the time. Today, I smell praline powder, which will be in tonight’s dessert – can’t wait!
Lunch with a view at Nasimi Beach – my 30 minutes of tranquility. I’m either here, at The Edge, or at The Shore these days to take full advantage of the great weather.
Always on the move and going from one meeting to the next. You’ll be surprised how much I have to walk on a daily basis. Atlantis is huge and this is definitely keeping me fit!
After an intense meeting with my colleagues, we’re all pumped about the new night in Yuan – One Night in Shanghai. Can’t get in without this funky wristband for the opening night.
Next stop is my atelier to work on my Fall/Winter 2015 signature piece. I’m such a perfectionist – I always alter things until they are nothing short of perfect. I could literally spend hours here, as this is my favorite part, seeing my sketches come to life.
Back in Atlantis at Yuan in a bespoke Dima Ayad outfit that’s so easy to put on after this crazy day. I always keep a selection of outfits in my office, as I’m always in a rush and constantly going from one place to the next, never knowing where I might end up or who I might see. A change of clothes always has to be on hand.
After an amazing, delicious dinner, the Yuan chefs decided to spoil us and prepare an amazing dessert right in front of us. It was literally one of the most incredible things I had ever seen – chocolate mousse, delicious candy, and syrups covered in dry ice to end the show. Definitely a must-see and must-try!
My speed-dial amazing friends waited up for me. They keep me sane. I love bursting into tears of random laughter with them. The perfect way to end an incredible day!
