In this exclusive first look at Rocaille’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection, Savoir Flair readers are introduced not only to the exquisite Emirati label, but also to the two sisters who pioneered the brand. Hessa and Shamma Al Hameli place a great deal of attention on the quality and exclusivity of their designs, having created the fabrics in the collection by hand-painting them in their Abu Dhabi studio. “Our aim is to uniquely incorporate contemporary fashion with the art of hand-painting as the signature of the brand,” they shared with Savoir Flair.

The wow-factor of this collection is off the charts, starting with a jaw-dropping fitted dress decorated with painted petals and finishing with a silk, mustard gown with flowing sleeves. Not only do delicate citrus and pale neutral shades dominate the collection, but so do very specific forms of blossoms. “With our first capsule collection, we were inspired by the details and depth of hydrangeas and camellias that have multiple shades of color in each petal.” When asked to summarize their brand in a few words, Hessa and Shamma responded, “Rocaille is definitely a niche brand and represents timelessness, attention to detail, and innovation.”
