The Arab Luxury World Conference began in Dubai yesterday, bringing with it a roundup of the most innovative and insightful perspectives from around the Middle East. Held for the first time ever, this two-day event, hosted by MediaQuest Corp, is set to provide a platform to spark conversation, incite collaboration, and explore the future and growth potential of the luxury sector in the region.
“This is an exciting and decisive time for the luxury industry and the Middle East market, as both are undergoing transformative changes,” said Julien Hawari, Co-CEO of Mediaquest Corp. “The aim of the Arab Luxury World conference is to bring together, for the first time, relevant global forces of the luxury market face-to-face with local talent and regional players to share insights, debate ideas and solutions to the many challenges that lie ahead for the business of luxury, such as a lack of data, changing business models and a paucity of knowledge,” Hawari explains.
Day 1 was met with resounding success. Through keynote addresses, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and workshops, as well as numerous networking opportunities, the conference has thus far been an opportunity for Middle Eastern leaders across the fashion, beauty, and tourism sectors to access focused business intelligence as well as exchange ideas on the future of the luxury economy in the year’s ahead.
Savoir Flair’s renowned Founding Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Haleh Nia, will be moderating one such critical discussion, which will focus on Fashion and Accessories, offering a unique perspective on growing this market in the Middle East. Her exciting group of panelists includes Berengere Chardier, Marketing Manager of Net-a-Porter, Francois Schweitzer, General Manager of Business Development Retail at Chalhoub, Alejandro Fischer, Associate Media Director at HAVAS Digital, and fashion designers Rami Kadi and Lamia Asudari.
