Dima Ayad’s recent trunk show in Dubai introduced fans to her forthcoming Fall/Winter 2014 collection. However, if you were unable to attend, we have a sneak peek at her collection that reveals a vibrant and thought-provoking presentation for the winter season. Instead of traditionally heavy fabrics, the Lebanese designer employs neoprene, jersey and crepe de chine in a variety of subdued neutrals, which she enhances with pops of turquoise and fuchsia. A lovely shift dress is bridged by color-blocked swaths of fabric, while a jersey one-shoulder dress is worthy of both your day and evening wardrobe. Kimono sleeves, cross-body draping, and sheer paneling add stylish enhancement to Ayad’s Fall/Winter 2014 offerings, but it is her detailed embroidery that captured our attention the most. For a wardrobe that is the utmost in subtle sophistication, click through the gallery for an exclusive first look at the collection.
