All eyes were on the red carpet at the Golden Globes last night as the biggest stars of the silver screen and sitcom world descended on the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. In spite of it being the early days of January, there was a surprising amount of springtime floral prints, luxurious neutrals, and pastel prettiness. The most notable nods to next season were Zoe Saldana’s Prabal Gurung dress and Drew Barrymore’s Monique Lhuillier gown with their floral appliqués and Zooey Deschanel’s neutral and playful Oscar de la Renta number.

On the other side of the pond, Miu Miu and Prada helped Léa Seydoux achieve a charming look that balanced a lovely blush-pink coat with a stunning printed sheath dress, while Sandra Bullock demonstrated a similar nature-inspired look in darker tones of navy and kelly green in her Peter Pilotto frock. Fresh bouquets of flowers also cropped up on Lupita Nyong’o’s silk Carolina Herrera dress at the AFI awards.
