After a toned-down version in 2020, the Venice Film Festival 2021 kicked off in all its (pre-pandemic) glory last week. The 78th edition of the world’s oldest film festival – which runs until September 11 – will premiere highly anticipated films like Pablo Larraín‘s Spencer starring Kristen StewartDenis Villeneuve‘s Dune starring Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet, and Maggie Gyllenhaal‘s directorial debut, The Lost Daughter starring Olivia Colman. Speaking of Zendaya, we doubt we will be getting over her fabulous Venice Film Festival 2021 style anytime soon.

Over the past few years, the young actress has evolved into a style icon who always stirs up Internet fervor with her solid fashion game. This time around was no different. Zendaya served us with not one but three sensational looks as she walked the Venice Film Festival 2021 red carpet to attend the premiere of her upcoming film, Dune. The superstar arrived in a stunning high-slit Valentino Couture dress, but it was the custom beige Balmain leather gown that she paired with matching heels and a 93-carat Bvlgari emerald ‘Serpentine’ necklace at the red carpet event of Dune that made it impossible to tear our eyes away.

There was also a third look, which Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach shared to Instagram with the caption: “The dress y’all didn’t see.” The video featured Zendaya twirling in an uber-sexy cut-out Dion Lee dress.

Zendaya is hardly the only one delivering buzzworthy red carpet looks. Penelope Cruz and Kristen Stewart – both dressed by Chanel – also served several seriously stylish red carpet ensembles. While Anya Taylor-Joy dressed in Dior Couture and Cynthia Erivo in Valentino embraced poppy hues on the red carpet, Helen Mirren (in Dolce and Gabbana) and Jessica Chastain (in Elie Saab) made a strong case for sequins.
