Joyful, vibrant, and irresistible, Fendi’s Summer 2021 capsule collection is designed to inject our summer with a heavy shot of optimism. Dyed in striking shades of yellow and blue and stamped with psychedelic logo prints, the Fendi Summer 2021 capsule collection takes us back to the free-spirited 70s.
For the collection, Fendi reinstated its collaboration with New York-based visual artist Sarah Coleman to create a fresh iteration of its signature ‘FF’ monogram revisited through a psychedelic 70s lens. The new fluid ‘FF Vertigo’ pattern is designed to create an eye-grabbing effect as it twists, turns, and even bulges as though it’s being looked at through a fisheye lens.
Flaunting a scenic view of the Red Sea coastline, picturesque mountaintops, and the desert dunes, the Aseer province offers a unique combination of nature and cultural heritage. A treasure trove of Saudi Arabian culture, the Aseer region is home to no less than 4,000 villages, each one boasting a rich heritage and architectural style. As the Fendi camper tours through the area all the way to the Soudah Mountain, we are treated to breathtaking views of the Saudi Arabian landscape. A part of the Aseer National Park, the Soudah Mountain stands tall with a 3,000-meter high peak, offering visitors a network of hiking routes and spectacular camping spots.
As the unique journey progresses, we are offered a peek into the Fendi camper, which features eye-grabbing ‘FF Vertigo’ print wallpapers and a shelf stocked with limited-edition items from the collection — think the leather tumbler holder, shoes, and handbags. In the video, the Fendi-clad “cool kids” can be seen capturing moments with the covetable ‘FF Vertigo’ monogrammed vintage Polaroid’ 636′ camera. A monogrammed umbrella provides sun protection to the campers, while iconic Fendi bags embossed with the ‘FF Vertigo’ print make chic accessories. The limited-edition outdoor range also features a versatile Bento box designed in collaboration with Alessi. Camping equipment, including a tent and a men’s technical backpack, produced by Ferrino, is also a part of the outdoor collection. The free-spirited 70s vibe comes alive with a range of crochet bags and hats, while the sequined re-edition of the ‘Baguette’ is an undeniable nod to the 90s.
Shot by Rayan Nawawi and styled by Latifa Bint Saad, the effervescent Fendi camper tour video is an ode to Saudi talent.
