In 1930, the horsebit motif was introduced by Gucci, and since then has become one of the most iconic elements of the Italian brand’s treasured accessories, footwear, and clothing. The distinctive horsebit bracelet is not only a timeless statement piece, but also a heritage investment.
This exclusive video takes us first to Rome, Italy where Gucci’s white-gold bracelet is sketched by an in-house artist. From there, we head to Florence where we see the bracelet’s elements being carved from a mold. Precious metals are then heated to melting point and poured into the molds where they are allowed to cool. After that, each peace is heated again to bring out a deeper coloring in the metal. Each rivet of the horsebit attachment is filled with diamond studs, which are placed individually by hand. Finally, the bracelet is polished to a high shine, ready to find its way home to you after a long journey from creation to actualization.
