This week’s installment of Style Watch sees Hollywood’s biggest names and tastiest tastemakers gearing up in glam looks for the winter holiday.
First, Dior dished up a candy-striped Marion Cotillard for her appearance at the premiere of A Thousand Times Goodnight, and Cate Blanchett was pure elegance in a mauve, cape-backed gown by Valentino on the Dubai International Film Festival red carpet. Jessica Biel appeared in touchable textures at The Truth About Emanuel premiere. Alexa Chung surprised us in a glamorous look straight from Old Hollywood (minus a couple of inches of skirt) in an ivory frock by Stella McCartney, while Keira Knightley also braved this brazen shade in Chanel Couture. Taylor Swift was the model of elegance in a frosty gown by Reem Acra at the Centrepoint Winter Whites Gala. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley veered from the pack in a beautifully cut menswear suit splashed in bold red and black with a ripple of ivory to break up the column of color. Gwyneth Paltrow exhorted color-blocking in similar fashion in a feminine frock by Prada. Clémence Poésy and Lily Donaldson donned patterned floor-length gowns.
