Neutrals reign supreme as stars begin to transition into their Fall/Winter red carpet wardrobes.

Although a parade of little black dresses and frothy frocks speak to the neutral nature of this week’s installment of Style Watch segment, there’s one outlier in the mix. Kate Beckinsale looked stunningly chic in a siren red Donna Karan wrap dress at the Elyse Walker Presents The Pink Party 2013. Meanwhile, Natalie Portman returns to her dance roots in a ball gown topped with a ballerina neck long-sleeve top, and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld demonstrates how to maximize boudoir chic in a lingerie top and reptile-skinned pencil skirt by Louis Vuitton. The Olivias share a taste for Giorgio Armani, with Olivia Palermo opting for a menswear spin and Olivia Munn taking the dramatic route in a silk opera cape. In a similar vein, both Michelle Williams and Sandra Bullock adopted the classic fitted little black dress – a red carpet standby since time immemorial. Poppy Delevingne and Dree Hemingway, meanwhile, opted for textural elements like lace, layers, embroidery, and paillettes.
