While the catwalks of Paris are working hard to establish next season’s silhouette du jour, the red carpet is reflecting a celebration of the female form.
Hourglass silhouettes were embraced by celebrities this week with waistlines that were cinched and belted to enhance the female form. Diane Kruger spent a night at the opera in a voluminous gown by Prabal Gurung, and Eva Longoria opted for a 1970s-inspired emerald green dress by Randi Rahm for her appearance at the 2013 NCLA ALMA Awards. Echoing a similar look to Longoria is Natalia Vodianova in a navy pantsuit by Dior, while Olivia Palermo chose a more summery look from the brand. Jessica Alba showed off two very different looks this week – once in down-to-earth black Narciso Rodriguez separates, and then in a glitzy gown by Juan Carlos Obando. To complete the gallery of hourglass fashions comes Sandra Bullock in a curve-hugging dress by Antonio Berardi at the 2013 Hand and Footprint Awards. So don’t hide your figure under baggy outerwear just yet; there’s still time in the season to wear your flirtatious, figure-flaunting looks just like these celebrities.
