A first-of-its-kind virtual pop-up, Eastwave Concept is the brainchild of Christian Daccache of Bureau Des Créateurs in Beirut, Judy Daghestani of LFHM in Dubai, and Dana Mortada of Fashion Collective in Los Angeles. The three came together with the mission of supporting emerging and established designers from the Middle East and North Africa to showcase their collections to a wider, international audience.
Motivated by a shared aspiration of boosting the reach of Arab creatives to global consumers who are passionate about Middle Eastern craftsmanship, each season of the pop-up will be hosted by different platforms or stores. Born on the backdrop of a global crisis, the first season of the initiative showcases curated offerings from 16 niche designers.
Launched on August 1, the pop-up — which includes labels like Mrs. Keepa, Bil Arabi, and BLSSD — is now live on Dubai-based e-commerce platform Maison Orient. The unique pop-up further emphasizes the need for us to come together as a community and support local and emerging businesses as we navigate the post-pandemic world.
