It’s official; there’s a new leather master in town.
Originally started as a bespoke jacket-studding service for friends, the NOUR HAMMOUR brand was launched in 2012 by Nour Hammour and Erin Conry Webb. Though Paris is home to the designers, there is a worldly appeal to their latest collection, called “Playing Good”. For the first time, the brand offers a full digital lookbook, replete with technologically advanced presentation. In it, you will find leather jackets, covered in uniform studs, that bring a quiet rebellion to a chic, controlled silhouette. Hammour’s pieces fit like second skin, but wide lapels, asymmetrical zippers, and textured leathers keep the collection firmly high fashion. These aren’t your basic leather moto jackets; they’re major statement pieces. Check out the curvy allure of the ‘Day in the Life’ cascade leather cardigan and the ‘Ranya’ jacket in all its royal-blue glory. The designers behind Nour Hammour also blend their jacket collection with touches of fur, like a belted fox-fur gilet and even a rabbit-and-fox fur coat.
The excellence of this collection is reflected in its futuristic online presentation. On their just launched e-commerce site, Nour Hammour presents “Playing Around” in great detail, and offers free worldwide shipping. On the site’s lookbook, masterminded by digital designer and fashion photographer Michael Sosinski, visitors can enjoy a highly visual exploration of the collection. Each model can fully rotate and move. As you drag your mouse across the model’s image, you’ll see her in various states of demonstration, like donning a studded hood and opening the jacket. This gives one a sense of how the piece moves and fits beyond the traditional static image.
For a touch of European elegance, a hint of irreverence, and a high-fashion spin on classic leather toppers, turn to Nour Hammour.
