Pretty Woman is undoubtedly the movie that made everyone fall in love with Julia Roberts, and every scene in it is punctuated by a memorable outfit. From her style transformation into a Rodeo Drive big shot – which prompted pop culture’s most satisfying revenge moment – to that sensational red gown, there are so many looks that are nothing short of iconic.Â
In a case of art inspires life, Roberts was recently at the 10th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic and chose a polka dot ensemble that perfectly echoed an outfit from Pretty Woman. In the 1990 movie, she attended her love interest’s posh society event wearing a brown-and-white polka dot dress, accessorized with white gloves and a chic hat. And a mere days ago, the actress chose a black-and-white polka dot crepe de chine blouse and cropped pleated trousers that she paired with brogues and a white belt.
The polo match and the polka dots were strong signals that she was intentionally channeling her inner Vivian Ward. And if you want to, too, you’ll have to wait – it’s from the Michael Kors Collection Resort 2020 and hasn’t hit shelves yet. What you can do, however, is rewatch the single most memorable scene of the film, below.
