Is there anything cooler than a model sashaying down a runway as her fringed frock bounces around her? We were treated to tons of amazing tassels in spring/summer collections earlier this year, and the trend shows no signs of abating as it has continued to crop up for Fall/Winter 2019, Resort 2020, and Spring/Summer 2020. Everything from dresses to accessories are getting the tassel treatment lately, and we’re not mad about it. Inspired by the catwalk, here are three ways to try the trend – and where to shop each style when you’re ready.

Heavy Metals

For a massive visual impact, choose styles upholstered in gilded metals. This guarantees that all of the movement provided by the fluid fringe will be sure to turn heads.

Go West

Did you know that fringe once served a practical purpose back in the Wild West? The long-cut tassels made from strips of leather were used to keep annoying pests away while cowboys were tending their herds. Nowadays, it just looks cool. Lean into the burgeoning Westernwear trend by choosing pieces trimmed in fringe, like the ones below.
