Up the steps of the Palais des Festivals, the celebrities arrive in glamorous droves. Once more, the French Riviera finds itself flooded by the who’s who of the international film community for the annual Cannes Film Festival. Hotly anticipated films like Terrence Malick’s A Hidden Life, Jim Jarmusch’s The Dead Don’t Die, and Pedro Almodóvar’s Pain and Glory have brought out both veterans and newcomers of the red carpet circuit. Some stunning looks have already taken center stage on the Cannes red carpet, but what surprised and delighted us was just how many Arab names were behind the ensembles.

We counted beloved favorites like Elie Saab, Georges Hobeika, Jean-Louis Sabaji, Rami Kadi, and Michael Cinco among the many gowns favored by supermodels and celebrities alike, as well as a design by newcomer Ali Younes.
