With fashion month once again underway, the eyes of the world are on the sartorial magic on the runways, but that’s not the only place that style is making moves – we’re looking at the streets for inspiration as well. With the New York shows wrapped up, it’s time to focus on the London scene, where things are always a little more unconventional. The city that gave us punk music, punk fashion, David Bowie, and the rebellious Alexander McQueen is exactly where the most unabashed approaches to style come out to play.
While the weather continued its unpredictable dance between rain and shine, fashion’s elite proved they can play the layering game in some must-see ensembles. In London, we saw a sublime variety of chic suits, sky-high boots, compact bags, and of course a mega-dose of animal print. Naturally representing the city’s history with a fair amount of trench coats and rich fabrics, there was truly no shortage of head-turning looks.
