With a red carpet known for all style bets being off, when it comes to award shows, few provide us with the level of drama that the Grammys do. This year’s show had no shortage of must-see moments, and the crown – or hat, we should say – goes to Jennifer Lopez in a look we can safely say we’ve never seen her in before. Clad in an embellished, body-hugging, couture Ralph & Russo ensemble straight off the Spring/Summer 2019 runway, JLo was just the right amount of extra for this occasion.
Keeping her makeup sultry with a smoky eye and that JLo glow, her long locks peeped out from the back – longer than we’ve ever seen them before. In a bold move that was a step away from her usual glam, the pop diva really surprised us with the wide-brimmed hat. That being said, it was for this very same event that she wore that Versace dress 19 years ago, so perhaps her fashion risks are more methodic than some might think. It’s wonderful to see that, after two decades of making red carpet statements, she’s still finding ways to delight and make style history.
