Rabih Kayrouz just made waves as the newest designer to enter the elite club of haute couture, an accomplishment that only few others have achieved. Indeed, his ten-year-old label Maison Rabih Kayrouz is joining the ranks of fashion powerhouses like Chanel, Balmain, and Givenchy as one of only 17 to showcase their illustrious work during the haute couture circuit – as confirmed by La Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.
So what prerequisites must be met in order to present? Two couture collections – each comprising of a minimum of 25 looks – handmade within a Paris-based atelier while also creating tailor-made pieces for private clients. Now a permanent member, the Lebanese womenswear designer will be representing the Middle East through vibrant hues, architectural cuts, and structural concepts during Paris Haute Couture Week, the next installment of which will take place from January 21st to 24th.
