Next weekend will see the return of Sole DXB at d3, marking the seventh edition of a footwear, fashion, and lifestyle fair that defies the notion that Dubai is entirely devoid of street culture. Once again, the coolest brands in streetwear will gather to unveil new designs as performances by the likes of Blood OrangeLion Babe, and Nas entertain audiences. Elsewhere on the agenda? Book signings, film screenings, and industry talks – we’re particularly excited to hear Bünyamin Aydin of Les Benjamins speak about his new collaboration with Puma.

With this many see-and-be-seen events, your outfits have to be on-point, which is why we set out to uncover the best streetwear spots in the region. Between brick-and-mortar retailers where you can try and buy in one go to e-tailers that offer same-day delivery – as well as our shoppable edit, further below – you’ll have your Sole DXB look sorted in no time.

1

Upclassics

Upclassics is the UAE’s first online streetwear supplier and a one-stop shop for the coolest clothing brands, the hardest-to-find collaborations, and the most coveted sneaker styles.

2

Worthy

While Worthy is a great retailer for menswear, we head there to pick up both unisex basics and accessories from emerging streetwear brands like Places+Faces. Its brick-and-mortar location is in City Walk, but the online site is coming soon, so keep an eye out.

Closet Case

Tsolo Munkh, Y-3, Rick Owens, Juun.J, Haider Ackermann, Kuboraum, Aleksandr Manamis – the eagle-eyed buyer for Closet Case is stocking the store with some of the coolest brands in fashion. As the country’s first conceptual menswear store, it has been on the cutting edge of fashion in the region, but has recently expanded its offerings to women. Don’t miss the incredible selection online and in-store at d3.

2D2C2M

2D2C2M, which stands for Too Dark to See Tomorrow, is a Riyadh-based streetwear label that offers unisex printed tees, hoodies, and logo accessories. Started by Abdallah Bagalb, Ahmad Al-Wohaibi, and Maan Al-Qurashi in 2015, it is the kind of ultra-hip brand you wear if you want that nod of recognition at Sole DXB without screaming your streetwear affiliations from the rooftops.

Les Benjamins

Another homegrown brand that has grabbed the streetwear crowd’s interest beyond our borders is Les Benjamins. Influencers like Sita Bellan and Simi and Haze Khadra can’t get enough of Les Benjamins’ cool, fashion-forward designs – and neither can we. It is definitely one of the labels we’ll be reaching for over the Sole DXB weekend.

Namshi

Online shopping platform Namshi stocks a huge range of accessible streetwear and athleisure brands like Obey, Ivy Park, Cheap Monday, The Ragged Priest, and more. Plus, it offers same-day delivery, cash on delivery, and more options so that you can get your Sole DXB look sorted straightaway.

SF tip: Men’s sneakers are 1.5 sizes up from women’s sneakers. For example, if you wear a size 37 in women’s sneakers, you wear a size 38.5 in men’s sneakers.
