When Cartier throws a party, there’s nothing quite like it. And when it happens in Dubai, it truly becomes an event for the ages. Guests from around the world came together last week to celebrate in an evening of revelry aptly named Cartier Mirage. In a city that has risen from the sand like a mirage come to life, Dubai has a long history with the luxury maison – one that goes as far back as 1912. “Dubai is a magical place and one of the key cities worldwide for us. From Jacques Cartier’s 1912 journey and the discovery of local gems all the way to today, it has been an immense source of inspiration, which is why we wanted to honor it with a truly exceptional event,” said Sophie Doireau, Managing Director, Cartier UAE and India.
Within Dubai’s La Mer, a sensation of a show was put on in the form of the largest ever 3D hologram screen displaying the iconic Cartier panther strolling the scene. However, like all things opulence, Cartier knew how to take it up a notch with a show illuminating the sky, courtesy of 250 drones impressively spelling out “Cartier”. Accompanying the evening’s festivities was award-winning singer Mika, who entertained 300 VIP guests prior to giving an energetic concert to an audience of 700. And to close off the night? Cartier’s VIP clients danced the night away alongside regional and international celebrities to the tunes spun by DJ duo Simi and Haze Khadra. Though it might sound like a dream, the event was no mirage and will live on in the books of legendary parties. Take a glimpse into the star-studded event through our gallery, below.
