Join us as we take a closer look at the latest designs of the talented Sarah Baadarani.
Sarah Baadarani, a London-based Lebanese designer, is currently seizing hold of the futuristic trend by turning classic fabrics such as lace, velvet, and organza into jaw-dropping column gowns, day dresses, and menswear-inspired separates. Her sense of negative space affects the appearance of each piece, with geometric overlays that add dimension and texture to the clothes. Traditionally feminine designs are given a powerful modern update by cutting the silhouette closer to the figure and allowing thigh-high slits and asymmetrical accents to boost visual appeal. A few subtle prints break up the march of black-and-white monochrome in her Spring/Summer 2013 collection, a move that proves that Baadarani is staying in step with the best of London’s fashion elite.
