Throughout the world, literal and figurative storms are brewing. With so many outside forces seeking to divide humanity, it sometimes takes a stark reminder that we are all in this together to really see progress happen. And paving the way with a powerful message is Reebok, its brand new campaign getting straight to the heart of the matter: now more than ever, we should strive to #BeMoreHuman.
For the stars tapped by Reebok for the project, the idea of being more human came as a spectrum of perspectives. For Gigi Hadid, it means finding daily inspiration to make a change in the world, while Ariana Grande sees it as both accepting oneself and striving to change for the better. Black Panther star Danai Gurira also weighed in with incredible words of wisdom, and Nathalie Emmanuel of Game of Thrones fame echoed a message of self-acceptance.
“Being more human is realizing that no one wakes up feeling like a superhero. You have to find things on a daily basis that inspire you and make you feel like you want to get out in the world and make a difference.”
“We stand on the shoulders of others. Make your shoulders strong enough for others to stand on. There is nothing more powerful than women celebrating each other.
The connection of sisterhood, to me, is profoundly crucial to how we can actually self-empower – through seeing each other’s greatness, through validating the other, being the rock to another, you are actually empowering yourself.”
“What it means to be human is being as accepting as possible of yourself and evolving. We’re never done.”
“The biggest obstacle we still face is accepting yourself exactly as you are. And that is beautiful.”
