It’s National Sisters Day today in the USA – a.k.a. the day to celebrate your best friend, your ride-or-die, and your (life) partner-in-crime. In celebration of sisters all over the world, we’re opening the file on some of the coolest, most fashionable, and most supportive sisters we know – from the head-turning DJ duo SimiHaze to the statuesque Hadid sisters who are conquering the fashion world, one runway at a time.
Simi and Haze Khadra
Simi and Haze Khadra – or SimiHaze as they are known far and wide – arrived on the fashion scene at the age of 14 when they attended their first Chanel show. Since then, these “It” twins have formed friendships with the likes of Bella Hadid, Selena Gomez, and Kylie Jenner, and can regularly be found DJing the party circuit at Coachella or exclusive events for brands like Cartier.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
From Full House to fashion moguls, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been in the public eye nearly their entire lives, which might explain why they’re so private as adults. Today, they’re considered bona fide fashion designers due to their highly sought line, The Row, which is famous for embodying their monastic, bohemian aesthetic.
Gigi and Bella Hadid
Kendall and Kylie Jenner
Another sister duo so famous they need no introduction are Kendall and Kylie Jenner – the youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. While Kendall is a supermodel who has walked the runway for brands like Chanel, Moschino, and Fendi, Kylie has launched an eponymous makeup line that has her on pace to become one of the youngest billionaires in America.
Chiara and Valentina Ferragni
Chiara Ferragni is the famous fashion blogger behind The Blonde Salad, and one of the world’s most famous social media influencers. Her equally stylish sister Valentina also has a large social media following, which she has parlayed into the launch of a bikini line. The two are part of each other’s support system, and regularly travel together to Fashion Week and on press trips.
Chloe and Halle Bailey
Not only are Chloe and Halle Bailey twins with a strong style identity, but they’re also an R&B singing duo who have opened for Beyoncé on the leg of her European run of The Formation World Tour. When they’re not performing or starring on the covers of fashion magazines, they are acting in the ABC sitcom Grown-ish as twins Sky and Jazz Forster.
Dree Hemingway and Langley Fox
Boasting Ernest Hemingway as her great-grandfather, Dree Hemingway has forged a career as a model and actress. She first debuted on the catwalk in 2009 at Givenchy and has gone on to star in campaigns for Gucci, Chanel, and Paco Rabanne. She has also starred in several indie films, such as Starlet and It Happened in L.A.
Her younger sister Langley Fox is also a model, working as an illustrator in her spare time. She has collaborated with Alice+Olivia, Louis Vuitton, and TL-180, and starred in the ‘Dot’ perfume ad for Marc Jacobs.
Aimee and Dani Song
As a social media influencer and the popular fashion blogger behind Song of Style, Aimee Song and sister Dani collaborate on many fashionable endeavors. Not only have the two launched a T-shirt line together called Two Songs, but they have also appeared in fashion campaigns together.
Dakota and Elle Fanning
At the age of eight, Dakota Fanning became the youngest person ever to be nominated for a SAG Award for her performance in the family drama, I Am Sam. Since then, she has been one of Hollywood’s most notable young talents, starring in The Cat in the Hat, Man on Fire, and Uptown Girls.
Presently, she is the star of the hit series, The Alienist. Younger sister Elle followed in her footsteps to become an actress, with notable roles in Neon Demon, Maleficent, and The Beguiled. She is also a fashion icon, having walked the runway for Miu Miu and starring in multiple campaigns for the brand.
Takenya and Cipriana Quann
Takenya and Cipriana Quann are twin sisters, style risk-takers, pioneers of natural beauty, and co-founders of the lifestyle website Urban Bush Babes. While sometimes fashionable twins package themselves together as a duo, each of the Quann sisters have a huge separate following on social media.
Suki and Imogen Waterhouse
British actress and model Suki Waterhouse landed her first big break at the age of 19, when she modeled in a lingerie campaign for Marks & Spencer. Success found her quickly, and she eventually became the face of both Burberry and Redken. However, her real passion was acting, landing a coveted role in The Divergent series, as well as the lead in 2017 film The Girl Who Invented Kissing.
She also started a popular clothing line called Pop & Suki with her best friend, which is worn by “It” girls like Cara Delevingne and Emily Ratajkowski. Her younger sister Imogen – or “Immy” – has also pursued acting, landing a role in Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals and starring in the Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Jeans campaign in Spring 2016.
Poppy and Cara Delevingne
Socialite, model, and actress Poppy Delevingne has been in the fashion limelight since she was a teenager, serving as a muse to designer Matthew Williamson and modeling for Burberry, Alberta Ferretti, and Anya Hindmarch. She is also a ‘Young Ambassador’ for the British Fashion Council, a Chanel brand ambassador, and a spokesperson for Jo Malone London.
Younger sister Cara, however, got her start in modeling, and ascended quickly to the position of a supermodel. Her famous brows, quirky demeanor, and lovable personality have made her a favorite on social media. However, after a wildly successful career in modeling, Cara chose to retire, but has since branched into acting with roles in Suicide Squad, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and Her Smell.
