Fashion fans were left with a pang of nostalgia and sadness last night as Christopher Bailey took his final bow as Burberry’s Creative Director after 17 years at the British fashion house. The show has been the talk of London after its rainbow-lit runway (and collection) championed diversity, with the show being opened by model-activist Adwoa Aboah and closed by long-time brand ambassador Cara Delevingne, who Bailey discovered.
Aside from the all Burberry hype, London Fashion Week has seen a plethora of beautiful designs in its two short days, but most interestingly, it’s the styles worn by showgoers that have really captured the eye. Known for being an experimental bunch when it comes to fashion, the inhabitants of the UK capital have been nothing short of daring with their wardrobes, showcasing trends aplenty in the process.
From pops of red (yes, still!) to standout accessories and streetwear details, there’s no denying that London is a sartorially savvy city, both on and off the runway. To give you a taste of what’s still left to come, Savoir Flair rounds up the best street-style looks seen at London Fashion Week (so far). Browse the gallery, below, and check back later in the week for loads more.
