When you think of Christian Louboutin, you undoubtedly envision a pair of sensual, sky-high heels with a glamorous flash of red at the sole. However, the legendary luxury footwear brand knows that women cannot live in heels alone, especially the busy modern woman who packs as much as a career, childcare, a workout, and a fashion event into a single day.
In collaboration with Halo Studio, Savoir Flair’s new independent creative agency, Christian Louboutin introduced its newest flat footwear concept to a powerful and elite audience of women like The Modist founder Ghizlan Guenez, Sauce founder Zayan Ghandour, and Physique57 owner Maryam Fattahi Salaam. Given the theme, flats were mandatory at this exclusive dinner. When guests first arrived at the beautifully appointed spread at the atrium of the newly-opened Renaissance Downtown Hotel, they were greeted with a card inviting them to get to know the woman next to them in order to find out something inspirational about her.
Meanwhile, a track ran around the outside of the table, and – like the shoes in Christian Louboutin’s new flats collection – the table itself had a red line down the middle that signified the brand’s #FollowTheRedLine tagline. Over an elegant meal of Middle Eastern fusion cuisine, the entrepreneurs, athletes, doctors, yogis, and editors in attendance got to know each other, and then stood up and shared what inspired them about one another as the dinner wore on.
Guests gushed over the new collection, the chic and comfortable styles of which – in their words – are “a game changer.” Christian Louboutin’s #WomenOnTheRun theme gets straight to heart of the footwear needs of the modern woman. This dinner therefore not only culminated in enthusiasm for the new collection, but also sent guests off feeling motivated and inspired by Dubai’s incredible crop of powerful women.
