Deeply rooted in Arabic culture, Bil Arabi is renowned for its celebration of lettering, calligraphy, and beautifully made jewelry. But now, the brand is taking a new direction, which sees designer Nadine Kanso create pieces that are made to be stacked and styled in a completely personal way. Introducing: the ‘Khatt’ collection.
Since 2006, Bil Arabi has been all about self-expression through Arabic phrases that climb around the wrist and fingers on chunky bracelets or rings. This season, however, lines have become more refined and phrases make way for single letters. Shining a light on vibrant colors and clean form, ‘Khatt’ comprises bangles, rings. and even statement-making ear cuffs, all available in the 28 letters of the Arabic alphabet.
Talking to Savoir Flair, Kanso discusses how her new collection came to life after she explored new techniques in design and production. “This led me to follow a different, more creative approach to my designs – the development of the ‘Khatt’ line was more about the process and evolution of the Bil Arabi brand’s founding pillars, where the letters are applied in an abstract form.”
Whether you like to wear your own initial, that of your spouse, or both together, ‘Khatt’ caters to it all, especially through the bold signet rings that Kanso herself loves to stack. White gold, rose gold, colored enamel, and diamonds are all featured in this collection, meaning there’s literally a piece for every style preference. As for those days when you just can’t choose which one to wear? Pile them all on together. Discover the collection in the gallery below, and then shop it by clicking here.
