Finally! We can stop lusting over the pieces we spied in the Erdem x H&M teaser video back in July, and start creating actual wish lists because the sartorial secret is out. Set in a lusciously green woodland wonderland, the video directed by cinematic genius Baz Luhrmann gave us an enchanting insight into what was to come, but now, we can truly revel in the floral beauty of every piece.
The collection caters to both women and men – a first for Erdem – and boasts 84 pieces, many of which completely blur the lines between gender and focus purely on the beauty of nature merged with historical references. For this collaboration, Erdem Moralıoğlu takes a nostalgic look back at his most loved collections, reinterpreting them with updated textiles, prints, and details. “I am so happy to collaborate with H&M and explore my work on a whole new scale including a menswear collection, which I have never done before. It’s also such a thrill to work with Baz Luhrmann, one of the most important storytellers of our time,” said the designer.
Ahead of the launch on November 2nd, fashion girls everywhere will be making a mental note of the must-have items. And if the previous H&M collaborations are anything to go by, they are set to sell out in a matter of hours. From whimsical gowns to Victorian-inspired blouses, every single piece in the collection can be previewed in the gallery below – we’ve even included the menswear items. You’ll want those too.
