Return of the glamazons! Gone are the pretty floral dresses and whimsical prints that we saw for spring and summer; this week’s premieres and parties were all about bad-gal attitude. Showcasing metallics – one of Fall/Winter 2017’s biggest trends – the likes of Cara Delevingne and Laura Haddock slayed in silver ensembles that packed some serious punch. Browse the bevy of super-glam celebrity looks and don’t forget to vote for your favorite in the poll below.
Dress by Iris Van Herpen Couture
Let’s face the facts: Cara Delevingne has been absolutely killing it during her recent press tour for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and this Iris Van Herpen Couture look is no exception. Since debuting her shaved hairdo earlier this year, it seems the model has stepped up her game and had a style revamp. The results? We’re calling it “punk gone pretty”.
Look by Christian Dior
The Hollywood actress steps out in a Christian Dior look that’s a little edgier than we’re used to for the world premiere of her new movie Atomic Blonde – and atomic she looks indeed! A far cry from the floor-length gowns we’ve seen Theron in lately, this white leather bralette-and-miniskirt look is risky, but she somehow pulls it off.
Dress by Marc Jacobs
Continuing her onslaught of beautifully crafted gowns for the press tour of Transformers: The Last Knight, British actress Laura Haddock wears a floor-length lace gown, embellished and embroidered in delicate silver. This ode-to-the-1920s piece is not something we’re used to seeing from quirky Marc Jacobs, but paired with Haddock’s finger-waved hair and sultry makeup, it’s fit for a princess.
Dress by Giambattista Valli Couture
When Giambattista Valli sent frothy, candy floss-colored gowns down the Fall/Winter 2017 couture runway, we could have guessed that it wouldn’t be long before trend chameleon Rihanna slipped into one of the high-low hems. In her new movie, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, she stars as a character named Bubble, which is fitting for this fabulously over-the-top gown that she paired with Manolo Blahnik sandals at the LA premiere.
Dress by Balmain
Known for her California-girl style, actress and model Kate Bosworth switched up her usual bright and breezy look for the Balmain x Beats by Dre collaboration party. Dressed by the French fashion house, Bosworth’s backless prom-like minidress boasts the perfect girly/edgy balance.
