Although legendary leather-goods brand Hermès didn’t expand into producing its own line of watches until the 1970s, it has recently come into its own as a serious contender in the realm of high-end watches. With the debut of the ‘Slim d’Hermès’ collection in early 2016, the brand won over both the horology world with its innovation and the fashion world with its excellent designs.
At 2.6mm thick, the elegant ‘Slim’ timepieces are still raised enough to keep the watch proportionally balanced. They boast a crisp face that depicts the iconic Hermès logo, numerical typography crafted by Philippe Apeloig, and – of course – a beautiful, supple leather strap. For 2017, the ‘Slim’ collection has been updated with two distinct, elegant versions. A broad dial wins praise for practicality and style, while you can choose from either an opaque black-lacquer finish or a translucent magnolia white.
