In 2016, the traction gained by style icons like Iris Apfel and brands like Gucci signaled the resurrection of the “granny chic” trend. Under Alessandro Michele’s direction, his obsession with baroque interiors and retro antiquities bled into his eclectic collections for Gucci, which have been a particular influence on trends this year.
