25-year-old Amaya Jones was always destined to create. As the daughter of two artists (her mother is a talented painter from Saudi Arabia and her father is an actor from London), she pretty much has creativity running through her veins. An Arts degree and experience working in galleries have all led to her very own creative project in the field of holistic fine jewelry.

September 2016 marks the launch of Amaya’s eponymous jewelry line, which is inspired by her fascination with gemstones and their energetic properties – pieces that enhance wholeness and help bring about a sense of balance. How is that possible, you may ask? Handcrafted in Los Angeles and inspired by the Native American culture of Arizona, the collection is about living in harmony with the universe through its message, its symbols, and the materials used – diamonds and 14-karat gold complement tourmalines, the most important stones of the pieces.

Tourmaline crystals are associated with aiding in the healing and detoxification of the body due to their ability to emit negative ions, as well as being one of the only minerals to emit heat. Relieving stress, increasing mental alertness, improving circulation, and strengthening the immune system are all amongst their powerful benefits. There are no two tourmalines of the same exact color. They’re also known to change their hue in different forms of light. For these reasons, tourmalines have been revered as magic stones capable of protecting whoever wears them.

In Amaya’s jewelry collection, the stones’ irregular nature is untouched to ensure that each piece is utterly unique. Layer and stack the necklaces, rings, and earrings to reflect your personality, mixing and matching stone colors to simultaneously make a statement and enjoy their holistic benefits. To see the pieces, alongside a poem penned by Amaya Jones herself that depicts the inspiration behind the collection, browse through Savoir Flair’s gallery below.
