Spotted at the likes of Christian Dior, Céline, and Loewe, open-bag styling is probably the bravest micro trend of the season. As nonchalant as it gets, this runway look isn’t apologetic about saying, “I’m actually too busy and/or cool to take the time to fasten my bag.” In the real world, however, it tells a different story, revealing a chaotic medley of old receipts, stray cash, candy wrappers, your ride-or-die lipstick, and more.

So is this style practical? Perhaps. Does it look effortlessly cool? Definitely. But as far as carrying our bags open is concerned, Savoir Flair will be voting to keep this micro trend restricted to the runways, and our belongings safely tucked away. Browse through the gallery below to see the runway moments of this Fall/Winter 2016 styling micro trend.
