Not only are the 80s making a comeback on our TV screens with shows like Netflix’s Stranger Things, but they’re also trickling down from the runways to the streets. This past Fashion Month, Savoir Flair spotted the likes of Gilda Ambrosio, Giorgia Tordini, and Leaf Greener rocking stirrup trousers in varying styles – and collectively convincing us to give this trend another go. So could this signal the death of skinny jeans? Decide for yourself and pick up a few style notes on how to modernize this 80s wardrobe essential for 2016, below.

Desk-To-Dinner Decadence

Wear your stirrup pants to work, pairing them with mules and a cropped jacket. Add a pair of crystal waterfall earrings when the sun goes down to take your outfit up a notch for dinner with friends.

Casual Cool

Sports Minded

Stirrup trousers have long been, and still are, used by equestrians and gymnasts. Make yours more 2016-appropriate by complementing them with a bomber jacket, a colorful hoodie, and statement footwear.
