Dior has returned to its roots and delved deep into French history for its latest high jewelry collection by Creative Director of Dior Joaillerie Victoire de Castellane. Details of the Château de Versailles, the iconic inspiration behind Christian Dior’s very first collection, were translated into the gorgeous new jewelry pieces – think ornamental rather than architectural references. A curtain tieback, chandelier tassels, candelabras, and mirror frames are just a few examples of what the designer re-imagined in the form of the most breathtaking jewels, which range from earrings to necklaces, rings, and bracelets.
With an air of absolute luxury, this haute joaillerie collection uses not only diamonds but also oxidized silver – a material that provides depth to the jewels – to pay homage to the art of 18th century jewelry making.
