Held at the legendary Cinecittà Studios in Rome, Karl Lagerfeld’s last Métiers d’Art show merged the iconic Roman and Parisian styles through the glamour of Italian cinema and the signature elegance of Chanel. The handbags that featured in the show were both timeless and chic, bearing the two stylish capitals’ marks in a subtle way.
Having reworked the coveted ‘Boy’ bag for the occasion, the brand also launched the ‘Il Quadrato’, a classic yet on-trend box bag available in three sizes and in a range of materials, like embroidered lambskin, python, lizard, and tweed. Balancing out these tougher fabrics, a line of buttery-soft leather bags was also introduced.
