Dior’s iconic ‘Lady Dior’ bag just got the dreamiest makeover ever. To mark the opening of the brand’s four-storey flagship in London’s New Bond Street, it unveiled a limited-edition collection created with British contemporary artist Mark Quinn. Known for his hyper-realist, vibrantly colored paintings, Quinn created the ‘In the Night Garden’ series with orchid-bloom motifs set against snow or volcanic earth, with the colors reversed on the backside of the bag. On the ‘Fossil Record’ bag, the flower motif is embossed in silver leather, creating a beautiful fusion between modern techniques and references to nature. In addition to the floral elements, the iris, which comes from the Greek word for rainbow, also takes center stage on some of the accessories in a vivid blue color.
Savoir Flair’s favorite piece from the collection is undoubtedly the chic clutch printed with the back of an artist’s canvas on one side, a piece not to miss from this historic collaboration that marks Dior’s ties with the world of art. Explore the full collection in the gallery below.
