One of the biggest trends currently dominating the world of celebrities and supermodels also happens to be one of the easiest to figure out. At Savoir Flair, we’ve dubbed this look “extreme monochrome”, meaning your entire look is in a single color family down to your accessories – there’s no mixing and matching here. Not only does this remove all guesswork from getting dressed, but it also happens to be the preferred look of stylish tastemakers like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

In order to trace the trend back to its roots, we have to credit Los Angeles stylist to the stars Monica Rose. She cemented her status back in 2007 when she styled Kim Kardashian for a magazine cover shoot and the two became fast friends. Before her highly publicized fall from grace earlier this summer, she had been responsible for elevating the style of the Kardashian clan along with a host of other stars and supermodels. Her signature look is a single-color palette – usually in the neutral family – that centers on skinny jeans, moto jackets, and ankle boots. So how do you rock extreme monochrome like a celebrity? It’s easy. Pick one color. Wear only that. Done.
